About the event
In honor of September Drug-Free Pain Management Month, Flemington Chiropractic Center will be hosting a booth on Saturday, September 14th, from 9 AM to 3 PM, at the Stangl Farmer’s Market to educate and inform the public on rethinking our approach to pain using drug-free pain management options. Attending will be holistic and health-conscious practitioners who will be volunteering their time to discuss chiropractic care, energy healing, reiki, massage, acupuncture, meditation and many other approaches and techniques to drug-free pain relief. FCC will also be holding a raffle giveaway!
In the wake of the opioid epidemic, many respected health care organizations are recognizing the value of a conservative, non-drug approach to pain. Dr. Lindsey is quoted as saying “80 percent of heroin addicts began with prescription painkillers, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Over 100 million Americans suffer with chronic pain and the medical community often uses prescription opioids as a first treatment for pain management. There are other resources that should be should be chosen to combat pain prior to the prescription of an opioid, such as chiropractic treatment. ”
Dr. Lindsey Mansueto has proudly set forth a proclamation to the Honorable Betsy Driver to declare September Drug-Free Pain Management Month in Hunterdon County.
